Canadian authorities announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia to “Sputnik” and “RT” networks.
According to the list published this Friday, Vladimir Mikhailovich Gundiaev (Kiril Patriarch) is included in the new Canadian sanctions, and Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also includes 29 natural persons and 15 other legal entities.
According to the Canadian government’s website, these sanctions also include the Regnom news agency and the Federal Service for Monitoring Communications, Information Technology and Media (Roscomadzor), as well as Russian journalists, the Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Nations, Migrants and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
“The Government of Canada has banned the import of certain goods from Russia, closing these products from official markets and reducing Russia’s ability to raise funds for the war,” the official statement said.
The following groups are subject to the import ban: (gold in its natural form, unprocessed, gold powder, jewelry, precious metals except silver and other products made of gold and silver.
