A humanitarian aid warehouse containing 35 tons of goods, including food for local residents, was also destroyed, said Natalia Zarya, head of the Humanitarian Aid Center.
Vladimir Leontyev, the head of the military and civilian administration in the Nova Kakhovka region, said: “The consequences of Ukraine’s attack on Nova Kakhovka can be compared to the explosion of the port of Beirut.”
He added: “I assure you that those who prepared this barbarity knew what was in the warehouses (ammonium nitrate) and what they wanted.” A lot of people died.”
Those who did, Leontief said, “were war criminals who should be tried and tried.”

On the other hand, Kirill Strymusov, deputy head of the military and civil administration of the Kherson region, confirmed that the Ukrainian missiles did not hit the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant and that the North Crimea Canal is working.
