Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not discuss the issue of supplying drones with either Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi or the country’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, noting that he “did not discuss drones with the president or supreme leader.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian pointed out that Tehran is making efforts to end the “crisis in Ukraine” and denied US accusations of supplying hundreds of drones to Russia, pointing out that his country has a century of experience in forming parliaments, and is aware of the effectiveness of parliaments in developing relations between governments and peoples and strengthening relations.

Speaking about the Ukrainian crisis, he explained that neighboring countries should strategically deepen their relations, since “such circumstances also force us to increase cooperation”, explaining that Tehran refrains from any step that would lead to an escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, adding We have different forms of cooperation with Russia, including cooperation in the defense sphere.

He continued: “I think the problem is that at the moment some Western countries, including America, are producing weapons and trying to sell their products. We are trying to avoid any action that could escalate the situation.”

In response to official US claims that Tehran will supply hundreds of advanced drones to Russia, Amir Abdullahyan said: “We completely reject these claims, but confirm that there are many cooperation agreements with Moscow, especially in the military and defense fields. and will not provide support to the parties to the crisis. In Ukraine, because we think it should be stopped… The United States and some other Western countries manufacture and sell weapons.”
