Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected a group of “Western” forces involved in a special operation in Ukraine and instructed him to increase the effectiveness of destructive marches over the border regions of Russia.

At the Center for Operational Control, Shoigu heard a report from the Commander of the West Group of Forces, Lieutenant General Andrei Sychevy, on the current situation, developments and combat missions of his troops. Based on the results of the reports submitted to the Minister of Defense, he ordered to increase the effectiveness of the destruction of Ukrainian marches over the border areas with Russia, as well as to severely suppress the shelling of liberated residential areas and villages by Ukrainian ultranationalists, relying on obtaining new means of communication to counter enemy artillery batteries.

Shoigu also inspected the direction “South” of the troops of General Sergei Surovkin, the direction “Center” of Lieutenant General Alexander Lapin, as well as the direction “East” of Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
