Trump’s son-in-law publishes book describing ‘toxic’ environment at White House, accuses Trump’s deputy chief of staff of pushing Ivanka

The son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, denounces, in a forthcoming book, that the climate in the White House was “toxic” when the far-right strategist Steven Bannon worked there as an adviser.

Kushner, who was also an adviser to Trump, affirms this in his book “Breaking History: A White House Memoir”which will be published next month and from which the US media began publishing excerpts this Friday.

Jared Kushner, son-in-law of Donald Trump, had cancer and secretly underwent surgery in 2019

According to CNN, Kushner describes in the book a scene in which Trump’s first chief of staff, Reince Priebus, asks him to call a reporter from The New York Times to try to prevent an article from being published.

In that article, the newspaper reported that Priebus and Bannon had been kicked off Air Force One, the president’s official plane, because Trump was unhappy with their behavior.

Why do you want to come with me to Florida today? I don’t need you. Stay here,” Trump told Priebus and Bannon, according to Kushner’s account.

Immediately afterward, the president referenced the fallout from then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to refuse to halt the FBI’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, claiming such an investigation would be “disastrous” to the government

And when Kushner called the reporter from The New York Times to ask him not to run the story, Bannon vented his anger on the president’s son-in-law.

How dare you leak information about me? If you leak anything about me, I will start publishing information about you in the next 28 days, starting on Sunday,” Bannon threatened.

Kushner writes in his book that Bannon, who was fired by Trump in August 2017, caused him more trouble than anyone else during his time as a White House consultant, admitting that he lied about himself.

Donald Trump returned to Washington to talk about a country that “is on its way to hell” and leaves a candidacy open in 2024

In another excerpt from the book, published by The Washington Post, Kushner writes about Trump’s second chief of staff, John Kelly, whom he describes as a sort of “Jekyll and Hyde” (referring to the famous literary character, with dual personality) and to whom accuses of having pushed his wife, Ivanka Trump, daughter of the former presidentafter a debate in the Oval Office.

One day, (Kelly) walked out of a tense meeting in the Oval Office. Ivanka was walking down the main hallway of the west wing when she walked past him. Unaware of his mood, I said, “Hello, boss!” Kelly pushed her out of the way.. She didn’t hurt him and preferred not to make an affair out of it. But Kelly showed her true character,” writes Ivanka’s husband.

Kushner says that an hour later, Kelly went to Ivanka Trump’s office to apologize, which she accepted.

In an email sent to The Washington Post, Kelly assures that does not remember anything described by Trump’s son-in-law.

“IT IS inconceivable that he would push a woman. Inconceivable. This never happened. I wouldn’t do such a thing intentionally. Also I don’t remember apologizing for something I didn’t do.“, assures the former Trump chief of staff.
