Russia banned 39 more Britons from entering the country on Monday, including journalist and presenter Piers Morgan, current Labor Party leader Keir Starmer and former Prime Minister David Cameron.
A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, seen by Sky News, states that it sanctioned British citizens “contributed to London’s hostile course to demonize the country and lead to its international isolation”.
According to the Russian ministry, the restrictions against British politicians, businessmen and journalists are related to the continued imposition of sanctions by the UK government against Russia.
The choice in favor of confrontation is a conscious decision of the British government, which bears full responsibility for its consequences, “he adds.
Since the list was released by various media, some of those targeted have already begun to react through social networks. Anchorman Piers Morgan, who recently interviewed the President and First Lady of Ukraine, left an ironic comment on Twitter. “It wasn’t on my immediate vacation list,” he wrote.

Surprised to find myself banned from entering Russia on the latest sanctions list.
I taught English in Moscow for 6 months when I was 18 years old. I loved. It came just as Putin took over from Yeltsin.
