In addition to the seven days of medical observation in a hotel designated by the authorities, another three days of self-management still need to be completed, the center said in a statement.
The measure applies to anyone who has “completed all vaccination procedures against the new type of coronavirus” and has presented negative test results upon arrival in Macau, as well as tests during the quarantine period.
In the self-management phase, the statement says, the health code will be yellow, which means that there will be limitations to travel within the city.
For the code to turn green, the traveler must “perform nucleic acid tests on days 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 after the end” from quarantine at the hotel, the center said.
Macao closed its borders in March 2020 and since then, people arriving in the territory – with the exception of mainland China – are required to quarantine in hotels designated by the authorities, which lasted 28 days.
