To his surprise, former US President Donald Trump revealed that FBI agents raided his Florida residence on Monday.
Trump emphasized that the raid on his residence in Florida is not right and necessary, and this is in cooperation with the relevant government institutions.
“These are difficult days for our nation because my beautiful home in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said.
He added in a statement: “This has never happened to the president of the United States.
It’s unclear what prompted the raid, what type of warrant was being served and what the agents were looking for, but Trump said in a statement: “They broke into my safe.”
“They really don’t want me running for president in 2024, especially based on recent polls,” Trump said.
He added: “Such an attack could only happen in a broken Third World country…Unfortunately, America is now one of those countries, on a scale we have never seen before.”
Trump is facing numerous legal issues, including a Justice Department investigation into his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and an investigation into the riot that led his supporters to storm Capitol Hill.
