North Korea fired two cruise missilesthis Wednesday, towards the Yellow Sea, according to the Seoul Ministry of Defense, quoted by the AFP news agency. This is the same day that South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol marks his 100th day in office.
We detected that North Korea fired two cruise missiles into the West Sea from Onchon, South Pyongan,” a South Korean Defense Ministry source said.
“Military authorities in the United States and South Korea are looking into details such as the flight distance,” he added.
North Korea has had a flurry of recent missile tests, with Wednesday’s marking the 18th release this year by the Observer count. The last one was on June 5, with eight short-range ballistic missiles.
