He explained that “registration work is still ongoing in some areas where more precipitation has fallen”, expecting “torrential rains and torrential currents in the valleys, as well as an increase in flood intensity in the remaining days of August this year and early September next year, which requires the highest level of care and caution.”

The National Council indicated that the rains and torrential rains that engulfed a number of states in Sudan resulted in 89 deaths and 40 injuries, in addition to the complete collapse of 21,221 houses, and the number of partially destroyed houses reached 31,807, in addition to dozens of facilities, warehouses, warehouses, educational and medical facilities and services, as well as damage to 2,730 acres of farmland and the destruction of 381 livestock.

It should be noted that Sudan suffers from the peak of the rainy season, heavy rains and floods every year in July, August and September, which leads to a large loss of people, property and agricultural land. Scientific reports released by the Met Office indicate that this year’s rainy season will be more severe and more significant.
