The list of Russian oligarchs who die in suspicious circumstances continues to grow. The latest was Ravil Maganov, chairman and vice chairman of Lukoil, Russia’s second largest oil company and one of the few companies to publicly criticize the Ukraine invasion. Former top executive of the Lukoil oil company, Alexander Subbotin, was found dead on May 10 in a shaman’s house in Mytischchi, Russia, according to the Russian state agency TASS. The man died of a heart attack, authorities said at the time. According to the same agency, Subbotin came to this house to undergo hangover treatment, which included cutting his skin and exposing the wound to frog venom, a powerful toxin-rich hallucinogen with psychedelic properties. He was found dead the next day by two shamans.
