It has become a real crisis in the country after odors and insects seep into homes around a number of morgues in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, while thousands of corpses have been piled up unaccounted for for years.
This led the High Committee to deal with the bodies piled up in Khartoum state a few days ago to set September 25 as the date to start autopsies, especially at Beshire Hospital.
It’s a horrible scene in Bashar’s morgue, I thought thousands of corpses were covered and rotting, but no.. corpses are sitting on chairs and others are piled on top of each other, there are whole corpses, dismembered and missing. The corpses, the bodies are naked and some are hidden, the faces are mostly without appearance, but the spirits are suspended as if saying: “When will you bury me and honor my tomb?” pic.twitter.com/tEPVhi8ISy

However, the unbearable horror scenes recorded by the Al-Arabiya camera from the “Basheir” morgue showed the horror of that case.
According to Al-Arabiya reporter, it seemed that thousands of bodies were stacked on top of each other and some of them were even “sitting on chairs”.
In that morgue, “whole, cut or incomplete corpses were also thrown, naked corpses”.
As for the faces of the bodies, most of them are faceless, as if they are saying: When will you bury me and honor my grave?
It should be mentioned that Bashir morgue in Khartoum contains more than a thousand unidentified bodies, which has sparked a moral, health and environmental crisis in the country.
The autopsy committees of the unidentified corpses arranged in the 3 main morgues are supposed to start their work from the 25th of September, which includes the Forensic Medicine Organization, the Public Prosecutor, the Police, and international and local community observers. and also the families of the missing in the country.
