The Kuwaiti Army General Headquarters announced the death of a Kuwaiti Army soldier after he was shot dead by one of his fellow soldiers in an affiliated camp, the second incident of its kind since last July.

In his statement, he explained that one of the camps associated with it “was a witness to the death of one of its members as a result of a shot by one of his colleagues, and the perpetrator of the incident was transferred to the appropriate authority and an investigation is underway to clarify the details and circumstances of this incident.”

The General Staff called on the media and users of social networks to be careful about such incidents and take their details from official sources.

On July 12, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army reported the death of one of its soldiers after he was shot dead by one of his colleagues in the Mubarakiya camps.

Following the incident, Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued orders and instructions for a “comprehensive review” of the security and health procedures followed in all army units and camps.
