A Russian rapper killed himself amid a mass exodus triggered by partial mobilization announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin to avoid fighting in the war in Ukraine.
Ivan Vitalyevich Petunin, 27, is believed to have committed suicide in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.
Petunin’s body was found near a high-rise building on Naya Congress Street, the newspaper noted.
Petunin, who previously served in the Russian army and was treated in a mental hospital, posted a video on his Telegram channel in which he told his fans: “If you are watching this video, I am no longer alive. ” He could not bear to be recruited for the war in Ukraine.

Petunin also expressed concern that partial mobilization in the army would turn into full conscription.
It should be noted that Putin had announced the partial mobilization of the army from September 21.
In his address to his compatriots, Putin ordered the immediate recall of 300,000 soldiers from the reserve forces in the future of military operations on Ukrainian soil.
