The official said that the ISIS targeted in the attack was responsible for the beheading of two members of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.
The official added that there were no casualties among US troops or civilian casualties.
After midnight on Wednesday-Thursday, the American forces for the first time carried out an air launch operation in the areas under the influence of the Syrian regime.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the landing took place in the village of Maluk Sarai, 17 kilometers south of Qamishli, in the suburbs of Hasakah.
During the landing operation, the soldiers of the operation informed the villagers to go inside their houses and turn off the lights using loudspeakers.
The watchdog added that the landing operation led to the death of one person and the arrest of his family and another family, as well as the arrest of the commander of the “Military Security Support Headquarters”.
