Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that Ukraine’s air defense will be the “strongest” and “effective” next year, to the point of becoming “the most powerful in Europe.”
“This year, we not only maintained our air defenses, but we strengthened them more than ever.. In the new year, the Ukrainian air defense will be even stronger, even more effective,” Zelensky said, in the usual last-minute speech, quoted by the EFE news agency.

Zelensky believes that “Ukrainian air defense can become the most powerful in Europe”, which it will constitute a “security guarantee”, not only for Ukraine, “but for the entire continent”.
Regarding the war, the Ukrainian president said that the “fierceest battles” are concentrated in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which make up Donbass.
Zelensky assured that, in general, the Ukrainian army maintains its positions, although there are also areas in the front where it advances “slowly”.
Regarding the energy situation, the official said that he has “a clear strategy” to ensure the production and supply of electricity.

At the end of the speech, Zelensky thanked the work of all the servicemen and citizens who are fighting for Ukraine.
