Birmingham airport, in the United Kingdom, is evacuated after a report of a “suspicious vehicle”

Operations at the central England airport “are suspended.” The authorities ask passengers not to travel to the place.

All flights from Birmingham Airport in the United Kingdom have been suspended and people are advised not to travel there due to a “suspicious vehicle,” Reuters reports.

“West Midlands Police are currently dealing with an ongoing incident locally,” police said on social media site X (formerly Twitter). “Airport operations are currently affected and passengers should not come to the airport at this time,” the same post reads.

Birmingham airport is, Reuters writes, the seventh busiest in the United Kingdom, with 11.5 million passengers last year.
