The American Federation for Immigration Reforms (FAIR) said in a letter that legislators must remove immigration issues from the billion-dollar bill to help US companies beat Chinese state-backed companies.
“U.S. competitiveness law should help, not hinder, U.S. workers in STEM fields,” the May 17 letter said. [immigration] The letter signed by EXHIBITION President Dan Stein was included in the final report of the conference.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives passed their own versions of the China Bill.
But the House bill contains some dramatic immigration measures that will wreak havoc on the careers of many American college graduates.

Lawmakers met last week to begin negotiations on a common bill. Several Democrat lawmakers announced the House’s immigration measures, but Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) criticized the massive immigration expansion added to the House version:
I would like to emphasize that this is a China-oriented bill. This is not an immigration or climate bill. … The final bill should focus on opposing the Communist Party of China… As a result, I will oppose the inclusion of the immigration provisions of the House of Representatives in the final bill prepared by this Congress.
The FAIR letter says:
flour, [the House’s] The Americas COMPETITION Act contains an irrelevant immigration provision that grants eligible Hong Kong residents and their families temporary protection status (TPS) and refugee status. It also provides 25,000 special visas for “high-skilled” Hong Kong residents. The inclusion of this provision, however well-intentioned, will not protect Hong Kong’s independence. Instead, it will strengthen Beijing by depriving Hong Kong of talent and opposition, thereby undermining our aspirations for freedom and prosperity.
Second, and more problematically, the America’s COMPETITION Act creates a new, unlimited visa program for nonimmigrant entrepreneurs, which includes: entrepreneurs who have a stake in a venture; key employees of the specified organization; as well as the spouses and children of both business owners and employees. All of these people can change their status and get a green card. This is nothing more than another category of “investor visas” similar to the controversial EB-5 and E (E-1, E-2 and E-3) investors. FAIR has long opposed these programs. Congress would rather find ways to encourage and grow American entrepreneurs than to create another Golden Visa program that devalues American citizenship by devaluing the dollar.
Finally, the America’s COMPETITION Act provides unlimited green cards to highly qualified foreign nationals such as “distinguished professors and researchers,” a well-known source of Chinese espionage. Not only is it dangerous, but it does nothing to help STEM talents in America as the law says. Is it time we stopped destroying future American talent like this?
“While these provisions increase competition in the job market and encourage American students to pursue careers in both fields, they will undoubtedly reduce wages and job opportunities in STEM fields for Americans. This,” the letter said.
Amid back pressure, lobbyists who support China’s immigration crackdown have recently proposed to Congress to accept the smaller influx of immigrants.
However, there are some transfer programs – for example, the H-1B program and the additional practical training program. However, they were quickly expanded by lobbyists and regulators—and these expanded programs were quickly approved by judges, which led to fellow lawyers being recruited by business groups and university groups.

Since the 1990s, many companies and investors in America have cut back on American labor funds for at least 1.5 million paid, obedient and low-paid foreign workers with visas.
Corporate policy ensures that many American technologists do not work with technology due to foreign-born managers, and foreign workers from China and India fill college education. gapsscientific laboratory, internship opportunities and career.
The influx of visa workers is also driving investment from the Midwest.
The changing population is also reducing the focus on long-term research, quality, safety, accuracy and security at companies like Intel, Boeing and Theranos.
