A spokesman for Iran’s customs authority, Ruhollah Latifi, revealed that the country’s exports to the African continent reached 1.2 billion dollars last year by Iran.

In his statements, Ruhollah Latifi explained that Iran’s exports to African countries reached 1.2 billion dollars last year (Iran’s last year ended in March), and they went to 50 to 55 countries on the continent, which is a good number, but the volume of exports is not enough, as it makes up only 2.5% of the country’s total exports abroad ”.

Latifi continued, “The weight of the country’s exports to African countries last year reached 2,526,399 tons, worth $ 1,199,442,000,” noting that the top ten countries are in the following order:

Ghana: $ 353 million.

South Africa: $ 254 million.

Nigeria: 125 million dollars.

Mozambique: $ 98 million.

Kenya: $ 77 million.

Sudan: $ 73 million.

Algeria: $ 67 million.

Tanzania: $ 55 million.

Somalia: 29 million dollars.

Ivory Coast: $ 15 million.

Then Ethiopia, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Djibouti, Madagascar, Senegal and Uganda.

A spokesman for the Iranian Customs Authority revealed imports from African countries, noting that they were as follows: “Last year, we had imports from 18 countries in Africa only, weighing 65,228 tons, valued at 60 million and 370 thousand Dollars ”.

He explained that it was arranged as follows:

– Tanzania: 14 million 656 thousand dollars.

Ghana: 7 million 473 thousand dollars.

– Ethiopia: 7 million 256 thousand dollars.

South Africa: 6 million 445 thousand dollars.

Kenya: 6 million 303 thousand dollars.

Seychelles: 4 million dollars.

Zimbabwe: 3 million 851 thousand dollars.

– Swaziland: 3 million 711 thousand dollars.

– Egypt 3 million 578 thousand dollars.
