Consumer confidence and economic climate increase in July, says INE

The consumer confidence indicator increased in July, after declining the previous month, and the economic climate indicator increased, after declining in May and June, but remaining below the February high.

According to the ‘Surveys on the Situation of Companies and Consumers’ published this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), “the Consumer confidence indicator increased in Julyafter having decreased in the previous month, remaining at a relatively stable level since the second most intense fall in the series registered in March, only surpassed by that of April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic.

Consumer confidence and economic climate decline in June

Regarding the economic climate indicator, “increased in July, after having decreased in May and Juneremaining at a level lower than that observed in February when it had reached its maximum since March 2019.
