According to preliminary data from Eurostat, exports of goods from the euro zone to the rest of the world reached 252.2 billion euros in June, a year-on-year increase of 20.1% (in June 2020 they had been 210 billion euros). ), but imports grew even more, from 192.9 billion to 276.8 billion euros, which corresponds to an increase of 43.5% year-on-year.
The official statistics office notes that almost all Member States, with the exception of Cyprus and Denmark, recorded strong increases in extra-EU exports year on year, with Slovenia (109.4%) and Greece (75.6%) in the lead. on main climbs.
However, extra-community imports also had a similar evolution, with all Member States, with the exception of Latvia and Luxembourg, registering year-on-year increases, the highest being Cyprus (130.1%) and Greece (100.4%).
