The Bank of Portugal warned this Wednesday that the entities that operate through the pages https://www.creditojusto.org, https://www.creditoconsolidadopt.com and on Facebook under the designation “Fair Credit” they are not authorized to carry out financial activities subject to their supervision.
The credit granting activity foreseen (…) in article 4 of the General Regime of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies (…), and the intermediation and consultancy activities in credit contracts, foreseen, respectively, in letters j) and p ) of article 3 and in articles 4 and 7 of the Legal Regime of Credit Intermediaries (…), are reserved to the entities authorized to exercise them, as provided, respectively, in said diplomas”, underlines the supervisory entity.
The Bank of Portugal also informs that the lists of entities authorized to grant credit and to act as credit intermediaries and consultants in credit contracts can be consulted on the Banco de Portugal website and on the Bank’s Customer Portal.
