Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, during a meeting with U.S. envoy Hadi Amr, emphasized the need to “make a reality on the promises of the American administration regarding Palestine”, stressing that “the Palestinian people and their leadership are facing great pressure in terms of escalation. Shtayyeh briefed the US envoy on the progress of the financial and administrative reform program, as well as steps taken in various sectors to reduce spending and overcome the budget deficit.

The parties discussed ways to successfully host the Donors’ Meeting (AHLC) to be held next month in New York.
