Two tax experts heard by the Observer maintain that, as a company with tax losses in 2022, TAP will have to pay a 45% regional tax to the Treasury on the component of the economic package that is delivered as compensation for early termination. A third inspector says that such taxation would only be required in the case of compensation that went beyond the benefits of the remuneration, but still highlights the costs that the company will have to bear in a single social tax for the amounts paid to the former. administrator.

The calculations made point to an additional charge of more than 100 thousand euros, between 105 thousand and 176.7 thousand euros, depending on the scenario that TAP has to pay only TSU or has to pay, on the contrary, also a 45% tax. autonomous. .

It should also be noted that the values indicated by TAP for the remuneration package of the former administrator —remuneration corresponding to 12 months, unused vacations and termination of the contractual relationship— are gross.
