The Danish multinational Coloplast, which invests 100 million euros in Felgueiras, has started hiring personnel to reach 800 employees in 2028, a company source informed Lusa this Monday.
According to the head of human resources for Felgueiras (Porto district), Fernando Bravo, the objective in this phase is to hire between 50 and 60 workers, so that the works can begin in October 2025.
These workers will join another 20 who have already been hired, mainly for management functions.
The selected human resources will then begin a training process, which may last six or more months, to acquire technical skills tailored to the functions they will perform.
This company is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, the capital of Denmark, and is dedicated to the manufacturing of medical devices.
Coloplast will promote, on Thursday, in Felgueiras, a day open to the public, to publicize job opportunities. At this stage, the available jobs are mainly for maintenance technicians and production operators.
Fernando Bravo indicated that the Felgueiras facilities are the company’s first in Portugal and represent an investment of 100 million euros, with the support of national and European funds.
Construction has already begun, occupying an area of 14 hectares, in the Alto das Barrancas business area, in the town of Revinhade, next to the access intersection to Highway 11 (A11).
