SP police confiscate 363 kg of substance used to increase crack volume

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Denarc) for the Prevention and Suppression of Drug Trafficking of the São Paulo Civil Police seized a total of 363 kilograms of substances used to increase the volume of crack and cocaine sold by smugglers on Friday (10). drug outlets.

According to the Civil Police, the suspect vehicle was approached with a toll in Atibaia on the Dom Pedro I highway and taken with two other people to the Denarc headquarters.

After identifying the substance distributed to several blocs, the men were arrested in the act of drug trafficking and taken to the temporary detention center (CDP) in Jundiaí. The arrests were reviewed by the Ministry of the Public and the Judiciary and subsequently converted into penitentiary institutions.

The seizure came a day after the Denarc Narcotics (Dise) Investigation Division 2 Police Station found a cocaine and crack treatment lab in Jardim Mirna, south of the city of São Paulo.

Three automatic sachet packing machines (used to make packages of cocaine), five sinks, a pan and a precision balance were found at the site. In addition, more than 10 kilos of cocaine and about 2 kilos of drugs used to increase the volume were also seized.

The seizure reinforced the Denarc Police Intelligence Unit (UIP) understanding that the substance was used by drug traffickers to increase the volume of drugs in the capital city of São Paulo. Denarc’s 4th Dise then began tracking a suspicious truck.

Investigations indicated that he would leave a specific area south of his capital city, São Paulo, where a crime cell was operating, attached to Atibaia. 363 kilograms of material was confiscated by approaching the vehicle passing through the highway.

According to a statement from the Public Safety Secretariat (SSP), the driver claimed that he was carrying cargo bound for Belo Horizonte (MG) and that he did not know the owner of the cargo. Another man said he was hitchhiking. According to police investigations, however, the supplies will be distributed south of Minas Gerais, as well as the Atibaia region and nearby cities.
