The film industry in Los Angeles has returned to the requirement to wear masks indoors after county officials reported an increase in coronavirus cases leading to hospitals.
“As the number of new hospitals reaches more than 8 per 100,000 population per week, they will continue to implement a host of other safety measures in addition to internal mask requirements,” Los Angeles Public Health Officer Barbara Ferrer said on Thursday. Variation.

The Film Industry Agreement was first made in May and will expire on July 15.

Hollywood made a deal with unions in February to switch to mandatory vaccinations and booster vaccinations. All workers in the film and television industry have been told that they must take the jab as a condition of being hired.
However, reports this month showed that the rate of COVID in nearby Alameda County was roughly the same as in neighboring counties, despite restoration of masks this month and equivalent mask shortages elsewhere. The data appear to have cast serious doubts on the effectiveness of masks as a preventative measure.
