Pat Carroll, the decades-old television comedy star, Emmy Award winner for Caesar’s Hour, and who played Ursula on The Little Mermaid, has died. 95 years old.
His daughter, Kerry Karsian, a casting agent, said Carroll died Saturday at her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. His other daughter, Tara Karsian, wrote on Instagram that “today (and every day in the future) she laughs out loud at everything and wants everyone to respect her because, in addition to her brilliant talent and love, she outstripped my older sister Kerry.” and me. the greatest gift they all fill us with humor and the ability to laugh… even in the saddest times.”
Carroll was born in 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana. His family moved to Los Angeles when he was 5 years old. Her first movie role came in 1948 in The Hometown Girl, but she found her place on television. He won an Emmy Award in 1956 for his work on the comedy sketch Caesar’s Hour, made guest appearances on The DuPont Show with June Allison, and appeared regularly on variety shows on Make Way for Daddy with Danny Thomas. He stops on The Danny Kay Show, The Red Skelton Show, and The Carol Burnett Show.

I think people are attracted to villains,” Carroll said in an interview. “The scary villains in the world are a deadly distraction because we don’t know them very well in real life. So when we get a chance to watch someone and him, he’s an important person, it’s exciting for us.”
She’s had the chance to reprise her role in several The Little Mermaid sequels, spin-offs, and even a theme park ride.
Carroll also voiced Lola in the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro.
