Ana Lua Caiano and Fulu Miziki among the first names of the Tremor 2025 festival

The cultural festival is scheduled for April 8 and 12, 2025, on the island of São Miguel. The organization recalled, in a statement, that Ana Lua Caiano “has established herself as one of the most interesting names in new Portuguese music, thanks to her ability to combine traditional music and more contemporary electronic sounds.”

“Through compositions that transport us to a tradition that is on the verge of extinction, and at the same time retain us to the present, through synthesizers and rhythm machines, Caiano finds himself between the past and the present, in a space that redefines your feet,” they say.

Regarding the band José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience, a tribute band to the romantic singer José Pinhal, the organizers of the event remember that it was formed in 2016 by João Sarnadas and other musicians from the “underground scene of Porto”.

“The band brought Pinhal’s music – a fusion of pimba and ‘synth-pop’ – to new generations, promoting a (re)encounter with the spirit of dance so dear to the national identity,” he adds.

Regarding the Nordic experimental trio FIRE!, he highlights that they propose “expansions of avant-garde music through the crossing of diverse influences – from ‘free jazz’ to ‘noise’, from psychedelic music to electronic music, and an incessant desire for experimentation. ” .

“Also in terms of audacity, this is a debut for the Fulu Miziki and their movement in defense of environmental awareness, artistic freedom and cultural pride,” he adds.

The Tremor organization recalls that the collective, through the use of instruments and costumes made entirely from recycled materials, the preservation and expansion of traditional Congolese rhythms, develops “a show that combines Afrofuturism, ‘punk’ and sustainable practices.”

Romeu Bairros, born in Furnas, “explores a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional songs from the Azores, incorporating new instruments, such as the viola of Dois Coras” and makes his debut on the stages of Tremor “on the eve of publishing his first feature film.”

The first confirmation for clubbing is DJ Giovanna, “one of the founders of FYLHAS DO DRAGÃO”.

Tickets for the Tremor 2025 festival are on sale in 3cket for 75 euros (+ taxes), according to the organization.
