He arrived at the State of the Nation debate surrounded on all sides. The country is on fire, chaos in the hospitals, galloping inflation, growing social tension and an inexplicable crisis in the Government, after the serial on the new airport written and starring Pedro Nuno Santos, one of the most influential ministers of the Government and one of the the great candidates for his succession. For this reason, there was no lack of arguments to attack António Costa and further weaken a government that, despite being absolute, seemed disconcerted after just six months in office.
