President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that “right-wing” Americans who support the Second Amendment hit law enforcement.
In his anti-crime speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the president detailed his frustration with Americans supporting the right to own semi-automatic weapons.
“To the brave right-wing Americans who say it’s all about keeping America independent and safe: If you want to fight the country, you need an F-15, you need more than a gun,” he said: “No, I’m not kidding.”
“Who are they shooting? They’re shooting these guys from behind me,” he continued, referring to the law enforcement officers guarding the president.
Biden stressed that he was not against the Second Amendment, stating that he had two shotguns in his home.
“You know we live in a country full of military weapons,” he complained, pledging to ban so-called “weapons of aggression” in the United States.
The president started shouting about the dangers of semi-automatic weapons like the AR-15.
“What’s our problem?” He called. – No, I’m not kidding. Think about it. What are we gonna do?
He lied once again that Americans could not go out and buy guns, and reiterated that guns like the AR-15 are unnecessary for activities like hunting.
“How many deer or bears wear Kevlar vests, huh?” He asked. “It’s not a joke”.
Biden created a political litmus test for his proposal to ban assault weapons.
“It’s time to fire every elected official and ask, “Do you ban assault weapons or not?” he says. If the answer is no, vote against them.”
