Bayern Munich have begun trying to sign a replacement for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who is close to leaving during next summer’s Mercato.
Lewandowski has announced his desire to leave the Bavarian giant at the end of the season to gain new experience in his football career, in light of Barcelona’s interest in his services.
According to German newspaper Bild, Bayern are in secret talks with a substitute despite their refusal to sell Lewandowski, but the Pole’s desire may eventually cause the German club to change its mind.
Bayern will hold a secret meeting with Stuttgart striker Sasha Kaladic, who will replace the Polish striker in the near future.
Kalladic is one of the most important strikers in the German league and has attracted the attention of foreign clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle, Benfica and Borussia Dortmund.
Kaladić has scored 24 goals in 27 appearances for Stuttgart and is under contract until June 2023.
