Canadian footballers have ended their strike to continue training for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but stressed that there are questions that need to be answered and action needs to be taken.

Team Canada went on strike after disagreements with the Canadian Federation over financial prizes for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The players letter said bonus negotiations were “unnecessarily stalled” due to the “layoff” of executives before the “old offer” was made to players last week.

And the Canadian team said in another speech: “We, the Canadian men’s team, have made the decision to resume training in preparation for participation in the World Cup in Qatar.”

He added: “To be clear, we have not reached an agreement (with the Canadian Federation).”

“We will move forward in the hope that the Canadian Federation will work with us to resolve this situation.”

The Canadian team will kick off their World Cup campaign against Belgium on November 23, before playing Croatia and Morocco respectively.
