Before leaving for Portugal, the delegation met with Lebanese Universities Sports Federation President Sami Kirtian, his Deputy Awad Merkhi, General Secretary Ziad Saadeh and members: Omar Bakri, Shafik Taya and Sharbel Karim.
Korbtyan encouraged the players to enjoy the moment of participation in this unique tournament, paying attention to the seriousness of the preparation, as the team held weekly training sessions and played some friendly matches. Korbtyan saw that this group was the product of tournaments run by the Federation and recognized special talents in various sports.
In this regard, His Majesty commended the sacrifices made by the team members, and after them by the members of the federation, to provide everything needed to fulfill the dream by participating in the World University Championships, despite all the difficult conditions endured by the countries, desired, so that the players could focus on the importance of representation in their country and thus be able to return with positive results.
