Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, number one in the world, won his first title of the season on Saturday by beating Briton Cameron Norrie in two sets in the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Against the 12th place in the world hierarchy and winner of last year’s edition, Medvedev, 26, won 7-5, 6-0, in a match that lasted one hour and 21 minutes.
If in the first ‘set’, which lasted 55 minutes, the leader of the ‘ranking’ still allowed Norrie to break his service twice, in the second he did not give the British any chance and was superior in just 26 minutes.
This was the 14th title won by Medvedev in his career, on the eve of starting his participation in the Canadian Masters 1000 in Montreal, where he will defend the title won last year in Toronto.
