Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has announced that his Norwegian team star Erling Haaland has recovered from the injury problems he suffered in recent seasons.
During his time at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland suffered a groin injury last season but has so far featured in all seven of City’s Premier League games and scored 11 goals.
Regarding physio Mario Pavondi’s trip with Halland during his time with the Norwegian national team, Guardiola said: “It’s not weird. At events like the European Championships or the World Championships, many physiotherapists travel with the players.”
He explained that he considers the physiotherapy department very important because of its effective role in player care.
Guardiola added: “When he joined us, he started working with Mario, with Manuel Rico and others. Thanks to them and his work ethic, of course, he was able to play regularly, unlike last season.”
