Former international player Cesc Fàbregas spoke about Arsenal’s William Salibe, pointing out that he could keep his place at the Gunners for 15 or 20 years.
Saliba has been showing a great level since the beginning of the season as he played 720 minutes and no player could beat him.
Fàbregas explained that the young player, William Saliba, did his best in the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur and said in statements to British network BTSports: “Saliba’s performance was wonderful and cohesive.”
He continued: “He was so good that he made everything easy, but he didn’t, and had a great match against Harry Kane and his buddies.”
He explained: “This boy was on loan in France and I was watching him closely because a former Arsenal scout asked me about him 3 years ago when we played Saint-Étienne in the Coupe de France match.”
He pointed, “He came up to me, pointed to Saliba and said, ‘This boy, I want to sign a contract with him.’
He continued: “Saliba was 18 or 19 years old, but he was the best player on the field, and it shows you the potential of this person, which makes you feel that defending is an easy task.”
He concluded: “I think Saliba is capable of being Arsenal’s main defender for 15 or 20 years and in those years he is capable of playing at a good level.”
