Tech billionaire Elon Musk has expressed disappointment with the Democratic Party’s continued flirtation with parochialism and pledged to vote Republican on Wednesday.
In a tweet that resonated online, Musk said the Democrats had moved from a party of kindness to a party of division and hate.
“I would vote for the Democrats because they are (mostly) favor parties. But they have become a party of division and hatred, so I can no longer support them and vote Republican. Now watch their dirty campaign against me,” he tweeted.

Musk’s denial of who is a Democrat after an interview insider businessman Where he promised to vote Republican.
“The truth is, as you know, Twitter is very leftist right now,” Musk said. “I would classify myself as a moderate, not a Republican or Democrat.”
“Historically, I’ve voted so many Democrats—not sure, frankly, I would never vote for a Republican,” the SpaceX CEO continued. “Today, I will be a candidate in this election.”
Musk did not specify whether he would vote Republican in the midterms or the 2024 presidential election. In the same interview, he talked about the importance of freedom of expression “when someone you don’t like says things you don’t like”.
“I mean, the media always scolds me,” Musk said. “It doesn’t matter. I don’t care, okay. Make it twice as big, I don’t care.”
“But it shows that even though I have a lot of resources, I don’t have the ability to stop the media from crushing me – and that’s a good thing,” he added.
Needless to say, Musk’s attack on the Democratic Party as a force of hatred and division drew a strong backlash from his most staunch haters.
