Star wars Fans ‘must not be racist’ after Disney+ star actress Moses Ingram Obi-Wan Kenobi The series endured online backlash similar to the one that actress Kelly Marie Tran later faced. The Last Jedi.
In an Instagram story published Monday, Moses Ingram, who plays Reva Sevander, shared some screenshots of private messages and comments he received from racist trolls who called him the N-word, and many more insults.
“Nothing can be done about it,” Ingram said in the video. “No one can do anything to stop this hatred. I doubt my intentions to be here in front of you and say it happened. I really don’t know”.
Ingram added that he rejects the idea to “shut up and calm down.”
“I was worried about this feeling inside me that no one had told me about, but the feeling that I had to shut up and accept it, smile and put up with it,” she said. “And I’m not that complicated. So I want to thank the people who came out and showed me off in the comments and where I didn’t put myself.”
“And to the rest of you, you are all unique,” he finished.
The official Star Wars Instagram account immediately came to Ingram’s defense.
“There are more than 20 million susceptible species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be racist,” the statement said.
“We are delighted to welcome Musa Ingram to the Star Wars family and are excited to unveil Riva’s story. “If someone wants to make him/her feel disliked, we can say one thing: we resist.”

It looks like some fans decided to attack Moses Ingram online and send him the worst racist message ever. [direct messages]. I heard some of them this morning and it broke my heart.
Moses was a great actor. She is a bright woman. And he’s great on this show. He added so much to the show, so much to the franchise.
And I learn from what happened. I just want to say that we support Musa as the lead actor and executive producer of the series. We love Moses. And if you send him bullying messages, Star wars fan in my head. There is no place for racism in this world. And I fully support Moses.

Ingram’s harassment mirrors that of actress Kelly Marie Tran The Last Jedi where she deleted her social media presence after being the target of racist and sexist abuse.
