The company Resíduos Sólidos do Centro (ERSUC) launched a tender worth 1.46 million euros (ME), for the acquisition of eight selective door-to-door garbage collection vehicles, according to an announcement published this Monday in Diário da República (Diário da República).DR).
The eight vehicles, of 19 tons each, for the selective collection of recyclable urban waste (the so-called tri-flow) will provide door-to-door service, from the Coimbra Integrated Center for the Recovery and Treatment of Solid Urban Waste, located in Vil de Matos.
Every vehicle, powered by diesel, must have a minimum volumetric capacity of 15 cubic meterswith a lowered cabin and “plate compaction system, rear loading and elevators with container dump”, reads the announcement published in RD.
The tender also includes the supply of hardware “to be installed in each vehicle, in accordance with the technical specifications provided in the specifications, as well as training oriented to operation and maintenance, in the terms and conditions established in the bidding bases.” , add the post.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 30 dayswith the execution of the contract within a period of 10 months.
ERSUC serves a population, according to the company’s website, estimated at more than 900,000 people, spread over 36 municipalities in the districts of Aveiro, Coimbra and Leiria, on the Central Coast of Portugal.
