The forecast of storms and showers led the Instituto de Português do Mar e Atmosfera (IPMA) to place this Wednesday under yellow warning eight districts in the north of mainland Portugal.
Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Castelo Branco and Braga are the districts that are open from the morning of this day until 6:00 p.m.
The IPMA warns “thunderstorms and showers, which could be hailand accompanied by gusts of wind of convective origin” for these areas of the country.
The yellow warning corresponds to a “risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation”.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected for this day in the north and center, especially in the interior; cloudy skies on the west coast until late in the morning and maximum drop in temperature in the south and interior north and center.
