The Russian company “Proton-BM”, which specializes in the production of aviation engines, will soon start producing spare parts for the Russian Tu-204, Tu-2014 and Il-96 passenger aircraft.
This came in a statement issued by the company from the city of Perm in the Ural region of Russia, a branch of the space company “Roskosmos”.
According to the statement, the company obtained models of parts of the “PS-90” engine model used in the civil aircraft in question.
Proton-BM deputy chief engineer Konstantin Kazakov said that some foreign companies have suspended cooperation with Russian production facilities and have been replaced by companies from friendly countries, mainly China, Israel and Korea.
He said that some European companies have terminated their agreements with Russian aircraft manufacturers on providing information technology and software, especially for civil aircraft.
Sergey Sklyarov, head of management and information system technologies of the company “Proton-BM”, Sergey Sklyarov said that his company is currently in the process of evaluating the extent of its reliance on high-tech products of foreign production and developing a plan. for industrial independence before 2023 to start producing national aircraft engines without relying on foreign imports of spare parts, including high technologies.
