The municipality also says that, “following good international practices”, that is, for reasons of safety and behavior on the road, it was decided to place one-way bike paths on each side of the streets, located at the level of the pavement of the roadwaybut segregating the lanes intended for cyclists by means of separating elements fixed to the pavement.

This Monday, the contract includes the execution of the bike lane network, along with a project to improve operating conditions and fold public transport.

In this sense, some places were selected where access to public transport vehicles is benefited, creating stopping points specially prepared for people with reduced mobility.

Thus, next to the stops where the greatest demand is expected, small modular buildings will be placed in areas close to the network of cycle paths, which will support the public transport traveler while users wait for their bus.

The modules will have plugs for customer use, as well as a Wi-Fi data network.
