Chebotarev’s objective was to shoot a scene that could perfectly be part of the last film in the “Mission Impossible” saga, in which Ethan Hunt, the character played by Tom Cruise, jumps between four-story buildings to escape his enemies. But if the Russian shares the fall with Cruise to take risks, he is less competent in the planning phase, having not calculated the speed that would be necessary to fly the Niva between one building and another, 15 meters above the ground.

Equipped with a 1.7-liter engine that develops 81 hp, the Lada is not very exuberant in power and was objectively limited by too short a roof to gain speed. Fortunately, it only weighs 1,220 kg, because the reduced speed caused a short flight that did not end as planned, that is, on the roof of the neighboring building.
