Azarujinha beach in Cascais closed to bathing

Azarujinha beach in Cascais was closed to swimming on Thursday after water quality analysis revealed Microbiological values ​​above reference parameters.announced the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

In a statement, AMN explains that, after receiving information from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), in charge of carrying out the analyses, advising against going swimming at that beach, instructions were given to raised the red flag.

Signs were also placed at the entrances to the beaches prohibiting bathing.

Azarujinha Beach is located in São João do Estoril, in the municipality of Cascais, district of Lisbon.

The bans will remain in place until the results of new water quality analyzes indicate that microbiological values ​​are within reference parameters, according to the AMN.
