Princeton professor Eddie Glod Jr. MSNBC’s “Deadline” on Wednesday said in response to the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, that society should “condemn the fears of those who subscribe to the theory of retaliation.”
Glod said: “It’s clear it needs to be led by activists. I think you do this job People in the media, we have to do this. The president should use the podium for hooligans. I thought about it and said it before. Those who advocate substitution theory, or whatever you call it these days, use it on television shows, etc. We must condemn the horror of those who express it. We must also understand that it is easy to attack vocal racists. Remember, he knew this community because he was in Buffalo. Buffalo is the seventh most isolated city in the United States. He defined this area because more than 31 percent of blacks live below the poverty line. He’s attacking it because Tops is a special place, because it was a food desert before he got there.”
“We live each day to understand that some should be valued more than others. There’s a spectrum, Nicole, from the person who did this insanely bloody act to these people who criticize everything we think is connected to multiracial democracy. We must understand how involved we are in our daily lives in the creation of this beast and this evil.
