226 years ago the construction of the Palácio da Ajuda in Lisbon was about to be completed. There won’t be much longer examples of works dragging on with no apparent end in sight. Now, more than two centuries after the foundation stone was laid, the West Wing is finally complete and has a new museum to display.
The new museum facility in Lisbon and the country already has a name, Royal Treasury Museumand had a pre-opening this Monday, with a guided visit to the media that precedes the opening to the public this Thursday (the official opening takes place the day before, Wednesday June 1).
