It was the starting signal for London Fashion Week, which officially begins this Friday. The Vogue World red carpet took place last night at the Theater Royal Drury Lane in Covent Garden, London, and introduced the world to 41-year-old Sienna Miller’s glistening baby bump, peeking out from what can only be described as a textile meringue with the Label Schiaparelli.
Rihanna walked so Miller could run; This is because the American singer was the first of this dynasty of fertile bellies proudly excluded in highly publicized fashion events, as happened, among others, at the Gucci fall/winter 2022 show, when she was preparing to become a mother for first time. “I hope we can redefine what is considered ‘decent’ for a pregnant woman,” she said in an interview with Vogue.

Back Red carpet from Vogue World, black and white dominated the color choices of stars like Kate Winslet, Alexa Chung, Jared Leto, Emilia Clake and Winnie Harlow. Baz Luhrmann, Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful posed together for photographers during the afternoon, in Covent Garden Street, which was filled with flowers to welcome guests to the sound of an orchestra.
Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford closed the show, which showcased some of the highlights from the fall/winter 2023 collections. After appearing together on the covers of the British and North American editions of September number from Vogue, the four walked together wearing dresses by Fendi, Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Versace, respectively, all from this season.

The four original supermodels entered the catwalk hand in hand and walked smiling towards the photographers, before walking individually. “Sweet Dreams” by Annie Lennox accompanied the dramatic moment, sung by herself and accompanied by the London Community Gospel Choir.
Among the audience were names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Moss and Claire Foy. The show was directed by BAFTA and film director Stephen Daldry, alongside Vogue’s international team. It featured performances by the Royal Ballet and the Rampert ballet company and a tribute to Shakespeare by Stormzy.
