The creative exercise is applied to the work of Catarina Osório de Castro, who photographs with a Hasselblad camera – the same brand that traveled to the Moon – in this medium format. The artist with a degree in architecture recently made her dream of combining studio, home and laboratory come true and opened the doors of her absolutely unique apartment, cover of the new edition of Observador Lifestyle magazine, special decoration.

Square, beetle-shaped, painted, embossed, capable of creating optical illusions or intentionally damaged. Azulejo has centuries of tradition in Portugal but still brings new features. This is what the artists, designers, ceramists and architects with whom we spoke in the article “outside the square” say, full of ideas to apply at home, or simply draw inspiration.

The pages that open the article dedicated to tiles, with a panel by Henriette Arcelin.

This 25th issue of the magazine includes other stories of creativity, from Sebastião Lobo’s cutlery-jewellery to the objects that are reinventing Algarve crafts, within the framework of the Loulé Criativo project.
