The Secretary General of the Interpol International Police Organization, Jurgen Stock, warned of the danger of weapons brought to Kyiv from Western countries falling into the hands of criminal elements in Europe.

“The presence of a large number of weapons in this conflict will lead to their illegal distribution in the post-conflict phase,” Stock said.

According to him, this arsenal “criminals are already waiting.” He pointed out that “the territory of the European Union will become a potential territory for the spread of illegal weapons.”

“This is because black market prices are especially high in Europe, especially in Scandinavia,” Stock explained.

Stock said, “Even heavy weaponry will be available.” He pointed out that the criminals operate on an international level, so these weapons will be distributed to different continents.

On Wednesday, the US government announced it would provide Ukraine with a new $700 million military aid package, including HIMARS launchers and ammunition.
